Living with Low Vision

Many hundreds of thousands of Australians are no longer able to maintain their affairs due to poor vision caused by age-related diseases such as Macular Degeneration. For many it means an end to hobbies, correspondence, viewing family photographs and many daily living skills critical to independent living.

Our Low Vision products magnify everything from needlepoint to newspapers to a size that is legible for those even with severe vision loss.

Braille and Blindness Products

Our products “level the playing field” for the 62,500 legally blind people living in Australia today and are used in all stages of education, within the workplace and for recreational needs.

Our solutions include: screen reading software for access to computers, braille writers and embossers for producing braille documents, and accessible PDA devices for taking notes and creating documents.

Solutions for Learning Difficulties

It is estimated that between 3 and 10 percent of the population is living with a specific learning difficulty, the most common being dyslexia (difficulty in reading, spelling and written language). Quantum Technology offers educational software which assists users to have greater understanding of text by using a bi-modal approach – simultaneous highlighting of text as it is spoken.
