Finding the best way to communicate the importance of braille and braille literacy to school communities and parents can be difficult. It takes time to compile resources, time to talk to individuals, time that Vision Teachers usually do not have.

Switched on Braille is designed to support Vision Teachers. It is a multi-media presentation on CD that can be used to demonstrate the braille code, develop an understanding of contracted and uncontracted braille; raise awareness of the importance of providing a functional literacy and communication medium for students who are blind or vision impaired.
