Session 2:
Producing Braille
Get ideas on introducing the Mountbatten to new users, teachers and the class
- Find out about the easy to use Learn Mode and voice response
- Try out such features as automatic erase and correct
- Learn about the magic of commands and utilise word wrap to enhance reading
- Find out how to change line spacing, margin width or to center words
- Use the Mountbatten memory to save files ready for embossing.
Session 3:
The Power of Connectivity
Discuss the challenging role of using assistive technology with blind kids
- Find out how Braille can be translated into viewable text
- Understand the power of the Mimic as a support tool for non-Braillers
